Surendra Hospital began its service in 1981 as a 30 bedded facility to introduce big city healthcare services to Cuddalore and the surrounding rural areas. It was the wish of Dr. Pa. Rajendiran M.B.B.S., D.C.H. and his wife Dr.R. Thenmozhi M.B.B.S., DGO to bring the latest in healthcare to their people and Surendra Hospital was the culmination of their efforts in this direction. Though small, our hospital was a powerhouse of healthcare services and in due course we expanded in a phased manner.

The first expansion was in 2017. We added 20 beds and opened an additional Operation Theater to increase our service capacity.

Then in 2021 we entered the big league and breached into the next level with the introduction of cutting-edge technology and world class infrastructure. From a medium scale operation, we expanded to a 100 bedded hospital offering the whole gamut of multispeciality services under one roof. It is our aim that no patient has to travel outside Cuddalore for treatment and that no patient suffers for want of advanced care and expertise. We have ensured that we deliver the best always and now with the next generation of doctors also joining the team, Surendra Hospital has evolved into a top-class hospital
